Hats (Peter Smik)

What does a hat mean for me? The hat is a personality. Memory of old good and bad times or future. On one side it is a freedom of shades, colors, expressive feelings evoking different variants of experiences having effect of vivacious playfulness.

Aristocrat and vessel full of apples we picked up while walking in the orchard. Element of imaginative art and grotesque. Woman in the saddle of the horse with the characteristic coloring and special vital energy. Wanderer through holes in it. Gallantly leaning man with an everlasting touch of the hand on the lace. The revolutionary, mysterious magician with the mystic themes which has more serious undertone of the stopped time records. Dandy with felt moustache, gunman with a sharp glance.

All these hats are opened for each head. In spite of that they do not wish to become an owner, they are free and they give the freedom. They create specific and grotesque world. There is famous history behind them – a history with a peak full of touches. Having a look through them will change the world for sure. What to say as a conclusion?
I throw my hat to you.
